Dr. Elizabeth Polak is the founder and periodontist at Anchor Periodontics, bringing an uncommon combination of clinical excellence, military discipline, and genuine compassion to every patient she sees. Her path to founding one of the Eastern Shore’s premier specialty dental practices began with a decade of active-duty service in the United States Navy, where she developed the precision, resilience, and commitment to care that defines her practice today. She continues to serve in the Naval Reserves.
Dr. Polak earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and her Master of Science in Oral Biology, giving her comprehensive training across the full spectrum of periodontal therapy: from early-stage gum disease management to complex implant rehabilitation, bone grafting, and full-mouth reconstruction. She is committed to long-term outcomes over quick fixes, and she takes the time to understand each patient’s individual goals before building a personalized treatment plan.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Polak chose to build her practice in Stevensville because the Eastern Shore is her community. She believes deeply that patients in this region deserve access to the same advanced specialty care available in major metropolitan areas, without having to travel hours to get it. She treats patients of all ages, from young patients with early periodontal concerns to patients in their 50s, 60s, and beyond who want to protect their teeth for a lifetime.
